Michaella Okwu

My name is Michaella Okwu. I am from Nigeria and I am 17 years old. I want to study medicine but in Canada, medicine is studied as a graduate degree. One has to do an undergraduate course before going into medicine and  I want to study sciences for my undergraduate degree but am not certain on what part of science I want to go into. The schools I am interested in are University of Alberta, University of Calgary, U of T, McMaster, UBC. So my exploration project is to find out if there are co-op or internship programs for science students available at these universities. Also, to find out what kind of opportunities are available for science students at the university hospitals and health care centres for each universities and if there are specific skills that are valued by employers who hire science students.
